Under The Stars Nigerians

We are a family of four living in Hidden Valley Arizona which is about 16 miles outside of the city of Maricopa. On our little ranch we raise quality Nigerian Dairy goats and take great pride in our animals. Our herd is small but well maintained. With the craziness of life these days, our family decided that it was time to provide for ourselves as much as we could. Goats milk, free range chicken eggs, and a small garden help us to do just that. Though we have had several breeds of goats over the last several years, the Nigerians are by far our favorite breed. We get almost as much milk from one good Nigi doe as we did with our Nubian doe's and the feed bill is much lower. Most of our Nigi's are registered with excellent milking genetics but are also from wonderful show lineage. The goal in our breeding program is for our girls to provide plenty of milk at home but also do well in the show ring.

Do you like the long ears? Well, we have retained a few of our best Nubians and Boers. Although we are basically focused on our Nigerians, my Nubians and Boers still hold a special place in my heart. So please take some time and look them over if you have an interest in the bigger breeds.
